The BOYC is
again sponsoring a mixed-fleet sailboat race series in 2007!
The main goal will be TO HAVE FUN while improving your sailing skills!
Races are scheduled for the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, with
an additional race night for any month with a fifth Wednesday.
Participating boat owners will need to join the BOYC ($35 dues for 2006).
These races are open to BOYC members that have paid their dues. A BOYC
membership form is included here, and is also available online at

Race results will be scored using Portsmouth Handicaps as published by the
US Sailing Organization and available online here:

All participants will observe the Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008 as
published by the US Sailing Organization and available online.
All participating Skippers need to sign up for at least one-night of race
committee duty. Ask for help or training/instruction if you want it; race
committee duty will improve the racing skills of you and your crew! Forms
and instructions will be made available to all participants. RC Dates will
be assigned on a first-come, first served basis, please indicate your
choices on the registration form. Trading race committee dates can be done
by contacting the Race Committee Chairman, if you have a conflict on the
date you are scheduled. Participating Skippers serving as RC will be
responsible for their own RC boat and its fuel, watches, and audible signal.
Marks, flags, and score sheets will be provided. The Branched Oak Marina
has rental boats available (at your cost) if you do not want to use your own
boat for race committee duty.

2007 BOYC Race Schedule
Wednesday night races begin May 23rd and will be held
the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.
There will be a Skippers' Meeting at 6:00 pm each race night at the Marina,
with the starting sequence to begin on the race course at 6:30 pm. The
choice of course and number of races held will be determined at the RC's
discretion and communicated at the Skippers' Meeting, based on weather
conditions, participating craft, and time of sunset.
